Sierra Hiking

Written at mile 859 – Muir Trail Ranch

Words and pictures do not hold a candle to the beauty and impressiveness that is the Sierra. This post is merely a set of captions depicting my time in this lovely place.

Here we go!
Rushing waterfalls!
Camping at Flower Lake.
Actual flowers at Flower Lake.
A deer sneaking through my campsite.
Remove the foreground trees and you can see Heart Lake!
Standing on top of Kearsarge Pass looking east.
On top of Kearsarge Pass looking west.
Pack mules!
This marmot…
…posed for a selfie!
The top of Glenn Pass.

Rae Lakes is the most beautiful hiking I’ve ever done.
I hate suspension bridges and ended up fording the raging waters below (no joke).
A mother grouse, concerned about her babies!
This waterfall is probably 50 feet tall and is an absolute rager. You can feel the power standing next to it.
There’s no way this comes across correctly in the photo. One of the most impressive canyon’s I’ve ever seen, in Kings Canyon National Park.
So many perfect meadows.
Gorgeous mountain flowers!
I stayed at Muir Trail Ranch.
This is literally the view from my cabin at Muir Trail Ranch. It was the most peaceful and tranquil place I stayed all trail.
Private hot springs at Muir Trail Ranch!!!

  1. It’s absolutely beautiful! I’m amazed that our country still has places like this, so majestic and open and stunningly pristine. I love that you captured a hint of the wonder to share with us. Thanks for the glimpses into your world out there. 💖

  2. Thanks for all of those photos, those are incredible views to take in. I have been curious if on your journey throughout these small towns and on the trails, how many Dollar General stores have you come across? They have a reputation for being in bizarre places and popping up any and everywhere….. seriously though, how many Dollar Generals? For Science.

    Stay safe.

  3. What amazing things you’ve done and seen so far on your journey! I’m so proud of your accomplishments brother! I’m glad I’ve read and seen your beautiful pics and you should be proud of yourself. I will continue to read as you continue on your way!
